Where the official Billbed login is, how travel agencies register as resellers, what the API offers, and how to sell Billbed hotels on your own website.

If your agency sells Saudi Arabia, and especially if it sells Umrah, you have almost certainly heard Billbed mentioned by another agent. It has become the wholesale hotel platform of choice for a large share of Gulf and South Asian agencies because it is strong exactly where the global bedbanks are thin: the hotels around the Haram in Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah. This guide covers what Billbed is, how an agency registers, where the login lives, what the reseller API actually provides, and the practical route from "we have a Billbed account" to "our customers book Billbed hotels on our website at midnight".
What is Billbed?
Billbed is a B2B travel wholesale platform built for travel agencies, tour operators and corporate travel managers. It describes itself as trusted by more than 2,500 travel companies, and its core product is hotel inventory: thousands of hotels, resorts and serviced apartments worldwide, sourced from global chains, local suppliers and direct contracts at wholesale rates. Flights and ancillary services sit alongside, but hotels are the heart of it.
Three things make it different from a generic bedbank:
- Saudi depth. Makkah and Madinah inventory is contracted directly and priced in Saudi riyals, which matters for pilgrimage agencies that live and die by Haram-adjacent hotel availability in peak seasons.
- A wallet and credit model. Agencies settle through a prepaid wallet or an approved credit facility rather than paying card-by-card, which is how most Gulf agencies prefer to run.
- A reseller API. Beyond the agent portal, Billbed offers an API so an agency can put the same inventory on its own website or app.
How a travel agency registers with Billbed
Registration is on the official site, billbed.com, and is for licensed travel businesses. Expect to provide:
- company name, registration and licence details, and country of operation;
- the business owner or manager as the account contact;
- your intended distribution: retail, online, groups, corporate, Umrah.
Billbed's team reviews and activates the account. Once active you can log in to the agent portal, fund the wallet or apply for credit, and start booking manually. API access is a separate request: you ask Billbed for reseller API credentials, which are issued as an OAuth2 client ID and secret with scopes for hotel mapping and hotel search.
Where the Billbed login lives
The agent login is on billbed.com. There is no separate login for the API; API access is by credentials sent with each request, and Travora Hub connects those credentials behind your own site rather than giving your customers a Billbed screen. If you have lost your login, contact Billbed support directly rather than any third party.
What the Billbed reseller API provides
For agencies evaluating an integration, this is the part that matters. The reseller API is a modern OAuth2 service with a handful of well-defined steps:
- Mapping. A feed of the hotels available to your account, with Billbed's own hotel identifiers. Your website's catalogue is matched against it.
- Search. A synchronous search that prices up to 200 hotels per request for a stay and occupancy, returning rooms, board basis, price and cancellation information.
- Prebook. A re-check of the chosen rate that returns the exact cancellation deadline and the payment methods your account can use for that rate.
- Book. The booking call, with a strict traveller contract: titles, one lead traveller, and dates of birth for children.
- Reservation management. Status checks and cancellation.
A few details catch first-time integrators: nationality is expressed in Billbed's own country list rather than ISO codes, room tokens come from the rate rather than the prebook step, and accounts carry an hourly request budget. None of that is a problem once the integration is designed around it; all of it is a problem if it is discovered in production.
From a Billbed account to bookings on your own website
There are three realistic routes.
1. Portal only
Search in the Billbed portal, quote by WhatsApp, book manually. Zero setup, but you are the bottleneck: every enquiry needs an agent, and nothing sells while the office is closed. During Ramadan the queue is the business.
2. Build your own integration
Hire developers to integrate the reseller API. Realistic if you have a technical team and months of runway, because the work is not the happy path; it is the caching, the request budget, the traveller validation, the on-request bookings and the voucher pipeline.
3. Use a platform that already integrates Billbed
A white-label platform such as Travora Hub already speaks the Billbed reseller API. You connect your own client ID and secret, set your markup, and your branded website sells Billbed hotels with live prices, instant booking and automatic vouchers. The Billbed integration page explains what is included; the short version is that the mapping, batch pricing, caching, prebook and booking contract are all handled, and Billbed inventory sits next to RateHawk, WebBeds, TBO and Hotelbeds in the same dashboard.
What Billbed inventory looks like to your customer
None of the mechanics above are visible to the traveller. They see your website: a Makkah search with dates and rooms, hotel cards with distance to the Haram, star rating, board basis and price, a room page with the cancellation deadline, and a checkout under your brand. The confirmation email and PDF voucher carry your logo. The supplier layer is as invisible as it is on any major OTA.
Pricing, markup and settlement
Billbed rates are wholesale. You add your markup, per supplier or per product, and the customer pays your price online through Stripe or, for Pakistani agencies, Safepay. You settle with Billbed through your wallet or credit line on your own terms. Bookings Billbed holds "on request" are shown as pending until Billbed confirms them; a platform that marks them confirmed early is setting you up for an awkward phone call.
Billbed compared with the global bedbanks
Billbed is not a replacement for RateHawk, WebBeds, TBO or Hotelbeds. It is the specialist you run alongside them. For Makkah, Madinah, Jeddah and Riyadh, Billbed will often have the property, the rate or the availability the others do not. For Istanbul, London or Kuala Lumpur, the global bedbanks are usually stronger. The agencies that win run both and let the customer see the best available rate without knowing which supplier produced it. Our supplier comparison guide covers the trade-offs in more depth.
Frequently asked questions
Is Billbed only for Saudi agencies?
No. Billbed works with agencies across the Gulf, South Asia, Egypt, Turkey and beyond. Its inventory is worldwide; its unique strength is Saudi Arabia.

Yes. The reseller API is OAuth2-based with hotel mapping, search, prebook, booking and reservation endpoints. Credentials are issued by Billbed to approved resellers.
Can I show Billbed hotels on my own website?
Yes, through the reseller API. Either build the integration or use a platform that already has it and connect your own credentials.
How do I pay Billbed?
Through a prepaid wallet or an approved credit facility on your Billbed account. Your customers pay you; you settle with Billbed.
Is Travora Hub affiliated with Billbed?
No. Travora Hub is an independent platform that integrates Billbed's official reseller API for its agency customers. Billbed is a trademark of its owner.
