Start with the hotels
An Umrah package is mostly two hotel stays, so the software’s hotel inventory in Makkah and Madinah decides how competitive your prices are. Ask to see a search for your usual dates and compare the prices with what you get from your supplier today.
Check how packages are built
Build one of your real packages in the demo: the Makkah and Madinah hotels and nights, the flights or transport, inclusions, prices per room type and the seat limit. If that takes more than a few minutes, or you cannot price triple and quad rooms separately, the software was not designed for Umrah.
Test the booking from the pilgrim’s side
Book as a customer on a phone, in Arabic or Urdu, and pay a deposit. Check the confirmation email and voucher: do they carry your agency’s name, the hotels, room type and guest names? Then check what happens if a payment succeeds but the booking fails: the refund should be automatic.
Questions to ask the vendor
Which Makkah and Madinah hotel suppliers are connected, and can I use my own accounts? Can pilgrims pay a deposit? Which payment gateways work in my country? Can sub-agents sell my packages from the same seats? How long until my site is live, and what does it cost in year one and year three?
